Ewa Gentry is part of the southwestern Oʻahu region (ʻEwa Plain), historically a sugar-plantation and agricultural area that has been transformed into residential subdivisions, newer communities, and commuter-friendly neighborhoods as Oʻahu grows westward. Housing stock is newer‐subdivision single‐family homes, townhomes and some infill; lot sizes tend to be moderate to smaller compared to older homes on the island. Character: suburban, with some pockets still under development, slightly more room than ultra-dense inner-Oʻahu areas. Nearest large city: Honolulu (via H-1 freeway). As with many Oʻahu communities, one might estimate existing homes in US $700,000-950,000 range depending on conditions, with newer builds costing significantly more due to land/build premiums, possibly touching private‐lot build turns near a million or more.
